I am a native Bostonian who is passionate about serving the community in which I was raised. Being a therapist and treating people with psychological issues and disorders has been my passion for many years.
Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology (Summa cum laude).
Masters of Social Work degree from Simmons College School of Social Work.
Post-graduate training in the areas of Clinical Supervision, Couples Therapy, and Chronic Medical Illnesses, as well as OCD, depression, and anxiety.
Licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Certification in Behavioral Therapy via International OCD Foundation's Behavioral Therapy Training Institute in July 2019 and have been providing behavioral therapy 1:1 to individuals with OCD and related disorders, social anxiety, panic disorders, and phobias.
I have been in the mental health field for approximately 19 years, most of those providing psychotherapy to adults or older adolescent girls.
In addition to private practice, I currently also provide psychotherapy in a behavioral health department that works within a larger internal medicine department where I provide both virtual and in person appointments to adults. I run a virtual weekly anxiety skills group as well as an in person weekly group for older adults. I provide monthly supervision to an LCSW who has begun to treat patients with OCD as well as provide an annual two part training on OCD and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to the fellowship. In 2014, I was hired for McLean Hospital's OCD Institute Partial Hospitalization Program as part of the program's expansion. As part of the program's plan for expansion, they hired me in May and were able to admit more patients into the PHP as a result. For 4 1/2 years, I worked as a senior clinician treating families of patients with OCD. For over 5 years, on a per diem basis, I also worked as a Lahey Behavioral Health staff crisis clinician that evaluated patients from Winchester and surrounding communities in the Winchester Hospital Emergency Department.
I have been a member of NASW for over 15 years, of which one year I served as Co-Chair on NASW's Nominating and Leadership Identification Committee (NLIC). I am a professional member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) and am connected to the OCD/IOCDF community.
